the continued search for that dreaded hit single which by no means is a search for a classic tune........ just listen to MOTHERS OF THE DISAPPEARED with Eddie Vedder helping out and it sends shivers down my spine and that by no means is a hit single.

take that any day over Elevation, Vertigo etc............. U2's at their best when they are passionate

This article is interesting and I think there's a lot to gain from working with different writers.

However, I think the method is deeply important. One thing is to have a team working together to bread a song. The other is to have a song being passed from producer to producer to change things without a dialogue.
