Its better than HTDAAB - their worst. But not by much.

My three least favorite albums, in order of preference

NLOTH
SOI
HTDAAB

To each his or her own, I guess.  But ordering the albums isn't my point and I shouldn't have mentioned it.  There are hundreds of threads already doing that.  I just find it fascinating how the proximity of recent albums means they haven't been listened to as many times so are not only fresh in our minds because they are recent, but also fresh because they haven't been listened to 1,000 times.

For some reason I've been listening to SOI a lot lately.  It's not that I'm not going or excited for this new JT tour, but, sheesh, I've probably listened to Joshua Tree thousands of times.  SOI maybe 1/10th that.

I hope they go back to it for the next tour.  A few of those songs I not only really liked, but loved them live.  Wolves and Cedarwood really stand out.  Could have added Iris to the encore of this tour as well.

I'm with you.  This is the first of their albums I've gotten really excited about in the 2000s.  It's a beautiful album, and it got even better after seeing them on the i&e tour.  JT17 was great, but I'm really looking forward to the continuation of i&e.

The album is very beige to me. Granted I never got a chance to see I+E live, so maybe that would have changed my opinion of some of the songs. It's a good album, but I find myself somewhat underwhelmed by it as a whole and would probably rank it in the bottom half of U2's catalogue.

Does anyone have the vinyl? Is it all white, or just the ones sold on Amazon?
The original release is white. No black ones.

There are Record Store Day versions, which are black vinyl. They're more expensive and limited.

I have the original pressing black vinyl. I have never opened it. It's this one...

It was released under the radar in time for the grammys. Very very limited indeed. This differs from the record store day one. Limited to 300 copies.
Oh, nice! I've got the other two. I listen more to the RSD than the 'normal' version. More playtime per half vinyl, and extra songs + acoustic session and better quality. Your copy is one of the test pressing, right?

I wanted to ask how this version would sound but you never opened it... You're keeping it for when it's value is higher? If I may ask, how much did you pay for it?

Too much. Worth it though! I can't see a number on the outside maybe on the vinyl itself?
