I love Little Things.  It's a very mature song for the elder statesmen of rock music.  Bono sounds great.  I can't wait to get the official release!  I will be first in line to buy this SOE at the local record shop.

I see a real assurance from the band watching the interview and performances last night, I haven't seen them act that way in a long long time, it was so refreshing. Still haven't found was incredibly moving and The Little things has a real magical quality about it. I just hope the studio version gets it right. It's a tricky beast to nail down but I think they will get it in the bag.

Kudos to the band last night, they weren't miserable or poe faced, even Larry managed a joke or two and pushing Jimmy away to make way for the stage was a great idea.

Roll on July 8.

What did they change on the lyrics? I heard "my thoughts are so reckless" instead of "my tasks are so thankless. But at the end there's something different too. Anyone knows what exactly?

I'm not certain but I hear:

Sometimes
When the ...(some word with a p)... in your shadows
And you're the only thing that matters
But I can see you through the tears
Sometimes

You know how Bono has often said that U2 saved his life when he was a kid? I feel like this song captures that feeling. Especially how Edge comes in with the guitar and then the whole band is there surrounding bono in sound as it builds and builds, supporting him through his anger and his grief.

The 'sometimes' part is a great part to improvise. Like he does sometimes on the 'words' part on Bad or the 'How many times' when he played with Bob Dylan

Can't wait to hear that bit in the studio version. It's a real wall of sound approach. Some people dismissed it as noise on the concert version but here it's crystal clear and spellbinding in it's delivery.

Anyone know what the timing difference was from when they played Invisible to SOI dropping?

7 months i think. Invisible came out in feb, SOI September.
If Ordinary Love is the same era, it could take a year

I thought the Little Things was outstanding. There's something a little bit more upbeat and forceful about it than EBW which I also liked but have not liked as much as time has gone on.

Little Things sounds like the better ideas from Invisible, Ordinary Love and Every Breaking Wave in one song tbh. The more I listen to it the more I love it, the beginning of the "Sometimes" bit is brilliant U2.

It's like Mercy [original cut] on steroids.
