Curious to find out does it have a connection between SO I and SOE tours?

I bet LiveNation pitched a fit when U2 told them that they would not be ready to tour SOE in 2017, and may have forced their hand into touring something.

Not to be cynical, but LN has taken a loss on U2 before (in 2008 they had to pay out a mint on a put option built into their contract).  Looking at the tour history - 360 ran 2009-2011 and brought in a ton of revenue but also cost a lot to produce.  I+E was in 2015.  I would bet dollars to doughnuts some executive told the band that they had to tour something.

Would probably be difficult for any artist/band to map such a thing out too far in advance. It's a fairly limited run in comparison to past tours, their best selling album and the first time playing an album in its entirety, so attaching a number to it likely doesn't matter much past a certain amount of years anyway, it'll generate interest.
