Here's the content of Rattle&Hum, to give you an idea.
Very pleased with the result. I'll order more. HTDAAB and ATYCLB, probably, since I have them in crappy plastic boxes.

Wow, those look pretty damn fine! Thanks for the picture, let's hope others upload theirs so we can see the end product!

Now I'm seriously considering getting a few of them.

Darnit, why are these only being released in Japan? I'd love to have cardboard sleeve versions of their CDs rather than jewel case.

Thanks for sharing.
Japanese designers even put a list of replicas of the original vinyl labels, very cool!  8)
Will get R&H for sure.

Yeah. The only downer is the CD itself. No artwork at all, just a random silver CD.

Agree.

The same simple silver CDs were used in the SHM-CD album series for Metallica albums in 2010 > You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

But for Depeche Mode japanese album series in Blu-spec CD2 format the CDs repeat vinyl labels from A-side of the original LPs, looks cool >  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login vs. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

Seems like there are different design teams for SHM-CDs and Blu-spec CD2's.

Sadly, not to my ears. I compared my old CD and this new one and couldn't spot a difference. I could be wrong, though.

According to this article (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login):

"The releases in the set are the 2008-2011 remastered versions of the album if they were done on these pressings. Otherwise the master is the same as had been used to last release the CDs in 2008 in Japan."

In other words, I interpret that to mean that Boy, October, War, TUF, TJT, AB, & Zooropa are the 2008-2011 remasters, whereas everything else uses the album's original master.
