Two actung things remind me of Adam.

1. His picture on the cover. (ahem - for those maybe younger members or less astute members, grab the album and look through the pics. You'll see!)

2. He apparently was the only one that enjoyed dressing us as a woman for the One video.

Also, he did all the early management of the band, without whom, the band probably wouldn't have got out of Larry's kitchen.

I like that he appears to be mysterious and confident.
I like that he is cultured, cool and in my opinion very handsome. 
I like that he knew that he only wanted to play bass in a rock band.
The bass revs up my heart and transfixes me within the music.
Adam successfully satisfies my reverie.
And yes, the Achtung album cover is unforgettable!

His class, wit, modesty, humor, the way he always graciously agrees with the other band members' comments about him, no matter what they are.
Love the parts of songs where it's just him and Larry, the rhythm section playing (*heart starts beating faster*).

This is one of my favorite Adam pictures.  Like a fine wine, he's better with age.

Totally! He's got this magical something that young guys can only dream about. No offense to young men here, don't worry, you'll be 40 one day too

I mentioned a few nice things on the Adam-Patron of the Arts thread.  I won't repeat them here although I think this would have been a better location for it.  Anyway, what I wrote there is why I love Adam.

Laid back and easy-going.
Loved the red and black trousers with the long-sleeved purple crew-neck on the Elevation tour.
New Year's Day bass lines.
The massive hair in the early '80s - that really wasn't good.

I love how chill he is on stage.  He's got that cool stance and he just rocks out in his own way.  I love it when I am watching a dvd and you can see him just chillin' and then Bono does something and he just laughs at him.  Good smile.

The achtung pic had a big X over the um well you know that part of the anatomy on the American cover!  Well, I made sure I found the uncensored Adam pic and checked it out as soon as it was released.  The nude male body can be as beautiful as a woman's.  OK, enough said.  Keep this rated G. And by the way daveyg, I totally agree with you about Adam managing and promoting the band early on. I also believe if not for Adam doing that, it would not have gone further than Larry's kitchen.  Very good point.

Well, I feel stupid.  I didn't know there were covers that showed Adam in, um, all his glory.  The copy I have has his privates covered with a big, green shamrock.  Hence, my lucky four leaf clover remark.

Airbrushed out?? *innocence files out the window* I just dont understand...

I did a google for it and no sign and on my laptop and away from my scanner - will have a go at scanning and posting tomorrow unless I get told otherwise or if someone gets there ahead of me!! But yeh, the album here had all bits showing!! Oh and airbrushing - it was a method of editing pics before the digital era - literally a high powered brush that was mainly used to smooth parts out (graphic designers out there can give a proper explanation!!)
