I know the last 15 years hasn't even come close to touching the peaks of U2 say 20-30 years ago but for Christ's sake - where the hell is Moment of Surrender? And as much as people might like to scorn it, a strong case has to be made for Beautiful Day or Stuck In A Moment being in there.

But no Moment of Surrender? Come off it.

Is this ranked by personal preference? If so, the 90s must have been one long eargasm for you! :D

A lot of it is preferential, but I do believe that most of the songs I listed are U2's best.

It's probably around 50 for me - It's just too clunky and overthought in my opinion although its not a bad song and Bono sings amazing on it. It would have to beat the weakest songs on the list (like The First Time or In Gods Country) which it might do on a good day but I dont see any way it will ever make my top 40.

I tried to do this and am still working on it.  All that said, no matter what you think of the band, i.e. Bono's extracurricular activities, their Apple iPod thing, when it comes down the music, this band has a rather extraordinary back catalogue of songs (most especially from 1980 to 2000, IMO).  Granted I'm on a U2 forum, so that's probably not a highly controversial point hehe.

I recall even looking at The Guardian doing their 10 Best U2 Tracks and in the comments, lots of people would even admit that.   Sure it comes down to taste, but they have a couple of songs for nearly everyone.

None of those 3 would make my top 50. And stuck would definitely make a "worst of" list. It's all personal preference.
