Why the does Guardian a British newspaper always tries to create hate towards U2 ( an Irish band)and why do they never criticise British bands?
The Guardian exists to get different groups of people to hate each other. Conflict sells subscriptions.
Ha! Not as much as the tabloids called DM and also DE (aka The Daily Brexit).
I live nearer to Dublin than London. My Irish neighbours were over again last week (they come over to the 'mainland british isle' every month or so on the car ferry). I was outside in my TJT 2017 hoody, and they came outside as I was going back inside and we briefly said hello as we passed each other, they noticed my top and looked intently at it. We never spoke about it (they are quiet, respectful, elderly neighbours) but the look on their face seemed quite warm and engaging.....
My neighbours are from the Dublin area, I think, going on their car registration plate which has a 'D' in it for 'Dublin' and also "Baile Atha Cliath" on it.
I briefly knew someone a couple of years ago who was originally from Dublin. She told me most Dubliners have a U2 story to tell, or at least try and make up a U2 story to tell. (Hers was that she worked with Aislinn (Edge's first wife) in a shop when they were teenagers and she claims that she persuaded Aislinn to stay on at college rather than leave...).
The Irish are well known for having a story or several to tell and some stories are taller than others, as you may expect.
So back to my neighbours - next time I see them, I'll be sure to be wearing merchandise and see if they can open up on any U2 story (it could be anything from their other neighbours are Bono's cousins to their kids worked with one of the U2 crew once).
