I would ask what are their musical tastes and then choose a song that I think suits them.

Whereas if it was to shut up a hater, Acrobat is always the song to go.

Interesting. I don't disagree, but what's your rationale?
I think on that song there's everything you wouldn't expect from U2 (in the most positive way).

It would serve as a valid encouragement to not judge a band only from the stereotyped radio songs.
