Using the U2gigs listing of total number of times played (without snippets), please only pick songs that have been played fewer than 150.  In order to be deemed rare, I arbitrarily picked the number 150 as the cut off.

Here's the list:

If you are ambitious enough to write an entire "rarities only" set list, keep in mind that U2 typically play no more than 25 songs total.

I imagine this set would be played on a basic stage. A dead center square in the middle of the arena. And to make it more rare, there would be no GA. It's all seats on the arena floor, which cost $35 each making the circumstance even more rare. Nose bleeds are $10 and the primary seats are $40. U2s screen is the 360 screen indoors.

Plenty of room to swap stuff out so there's actually some variation in the setlist too, closer could be MOS, Wild Honey / Mercy could come in around the middle, as well as Silver and Gold. I'd like to see Wake Up Dead Man in place of Gone sometimes, and A Celebration maybe for Exit or Like a Song

  • Feel like trash...you make me feel clean
An intimate evening with U2.
Concept: theatre gig, for the hardcore fans, probably a pricy ticket but worth it.
15 songs...

Surrender
Indian Summer Sky
Dirty Day <- this song is pretty awesome live.  I wish they'd play it more. It killed on the Sydney DVD
Kite
Heartland
The Ground Beneath Her Feet <- but not the acoustic style like on the Elevation tour.
Do You Feel Loved?
Miracle Drug
Acrobat
If God Will Send His Angels <- clean it up from the Popmart tour.  It was decent back then but they didn't nail it.
Please
When I Look At The World
Lemon
So Cruel
The Troubles

Note: It was harder than I would have thought to pick 15 tunes played less than 150 that I think would work live and build it into a logical flow.  Probably why they don't do rarities tours.  There are songs on here that, when I watch the video of them playing it the handful of times they do...it needs significant work to make it gig-worthy and keep a crowd engaged.

If Heartland isn't on your list, your list is wrong. ;)

Stateless is a good one too but I am not sure how well it would translate live.
