This is what Liam does. He opens fire when he's promoting a new album. He'll swagger around claiming there's too many false prophets and that he is the real deal etc etc.

I kind of like his attitude, too many boring bands that don't have much to say.
Liam doesn't hold back. But it's all part of his act, to be more rock n roll, ironically...

'Bassist Adam Clayton also missed a gig on that same tour in 1993 due to a hangover. It was the first time any member of U2 had ever missed a show and afterwards Clayton gave up drinking alcohol'.

Who played bass in that gig instead of Adam. Or was the gig cancelled ?
Adam's guitar tech Stuart Adamson replaced him, as he knew all the bass parts.
It was in Sydney, around the same night of the gig captured on the DVD.
Adam got himself together in time to film the concert.

Stuart Adamson from 'Big Country' ?
LOL I meant Stuart Morgan

Thought it might have been Adamson as Edge did his funeral eulogy.

Amazing guitar player.

His work with Skids had been a huge influence for Edge when he was developing his sound.

'U2's The Edge delivered the eulogy at Adamson's funeral which was held at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline. He told the mourners that Big Country wrote the songs that he wished U2 could write.'

Big Country's 'Chance' or 'In a Big Country' would have fitted into the 'War' album.

Wow, I think Liam's voice sounds awful on that rendition of "Wonderwall" on Howard Stern. How the mighty have fallen.

Also, can someone explain to me what the insult "beige boy" means? Sorry, ignorant American over here. :)

To call something beige is to call it dull, boring or uninspiring....bland, conventional, unexciting....

For example i think ATYCLB is a really beige album.

People really do take all this too seriously.

Liam is just playing up to his loud, obnoxious, 'rock n roll star' cartoon image.

Is it a bit old now? Probably Yes.

Is it harmless? Yes.

It would also help his credibility a lot if he, with Oasis, hadn't already supported U2 on Popmart.

Sugar Mouth Gallagher is echoing what a lot of people here criticise U2 for:

Quote from: Liam Gallagher
"As far as I'm concerned, whether this album's a success or not, some c… has to counteract the B.S.. And I'm that f…ing man. Whether it's Adele or Ed Sheeran… I'm not Ar**d about them, but half of these bands that call themselves guitar bands, they're in that mob, too. They're just running amok.

These c…s are just getting away with murder: you can't tell a guitar band from a pop band these days. No one's cranking it up and having a bit of aggro. They're all going to the same parties, they're all f…ing hanging out, they're all drinking from the same cup, they're all eating at the same f…ing restaurants, and, dare I say it, they all look the same, and dress the same. Someone needs to counteract that. And I'm here to do that."
