Flying to see U2 too much work?
« on: August 02, 2017, 11:51:02 AM »
Trying to decide if I should fly from Boston to Buffalo New York to see the tour for a second time. I would be doing it alone so I'm a little apprehensive but I'm not really sure if I want to do it or not I guess what I'm saying

1. If you can afford it, do it!
2. If you will regret it if you don't go, do it!

Make a list of plus and minus aspects...see how it falls out...then decide.

Do it. Go on, you know you want to. If you didn't want to, you wouldn't have posted it.

I've had to do it the last two times I've seen them and don't regret it for a second.

Why not, if you can swing it?

Just take JetBlue, I've flown from BUF to BOS b4 and it's no big deal.

Right. If it's financially doable, it's a short flight and you'll have fun regardless of being alone or not. You're sure to talk to people there at some point anyway!

You should go!
it's only a 90 minute flight ?
I've flown solo to see U2 across the US (Hawaii was like eleven hours) and Europe.
U2 fans are some of the kindest so you won't really be alone!

Also only about a 7 hour drive if you have the means and that kind of time to kill

Do it, I went to Brussels from London for the show the other night (about 2 hours by train), made it an extended trip and managed to fit in some sightseeing, shopping and eating and drinking. Not so sure it would be such a great idea if you see the show then get a plane back straight after it finishes though.

If you can do it do it  :D

I flew to San Francisco in 2005, met up with my old Propaganda penpal there, drove down to LA to see U2 at the Staples Center, stayed overnight, drove back to SF then we all flew to Honolulu the day after for a week.Live life to the full while you can!

Last month I flew to both Rome & Dublin to see U2 and I had a great time.I've also seen U2 in Paris & Germany, the last one involved 12hrs of coach travel all the way from the North West of England to Dover to Dortmund then right back on the coach for a 12hr trip back home.I don't think I could do that now, though  ;)

It's a lot of planning, some stress is involved, it's chaotic on concert day and at the airports---but, for U2, it's worth it!

If my flight arrived in Buufalo at 6:15pm would that be too late for the show?

I would highly advise against taking a flight that gets in so close to showtime. All it takes is a slight delay and you're hosed.
