This new album could well be the first u2 album i skip buying!

Yep!

I'm not buying the album. Probably won't renew my U2.com sub either.

Love and Peace or Else

It's definitely going to be SOI part 2, but why expect anything other than this.
I was initially excited by SOI but retired it after 12 months.  I anticipate the same with this, but we'll see, could be wrong!

Too little to know, but I like it. The chorus is very crafted in a pop way (with the rock energy), but that's totally fine for me.

I think it will most likely remind me of invisible.. it seems like it's a sister song with it being the first new song, yet not the lead single plus parallels between the titles. The song pace and Sonics, plus the chorus strength.. Invisible part 2.

Are these the raised by wolves visuals?

Roll on the new songs/album can't wait, hopefully it's a completely new direction and I do hope they keep trying to chase relevancy, the kygo mix for me was the best direction for my favourite band aswel as a standard U2 album... Some things just aren't good enough for some, it's full of a lot of moaners lately for a band people claim to love... they have definetly got another hit record in them!
The Joshua tree tour '17 hasn't been the most strongest for me and I feel as though Bono isn't his normal self, I like the jumping around screaming moments the only time we've got it is Exit.
We need a new fresh tour, new rocking album that's popular with all ages, also if kygo was to do a a set then have the band or bono come on and sing the song live, to a crowd where EVERYONE sings their hearts out, stands up and jumps I missed this from my last gig... this is what I want so as for the sound of this song, the video and visuals it's an exciting time I love this build up to new material enjoy it, it could be the last!

"Stand up you miserable b*stard" - Bono (Johnathan Ross - I will follow)

Yes, it also reminds of the keane song "is it any wonder"

Which a lot of people said sounded like U2 when it was released  :)

Which in itself was a rip off of The Fly. So on that basis this forum should love it 😁

Yeah, and I also hear the verse vocal melody of Even Better Than... in the verse of The Best Thing.

I personally like the sound of this much more than most of SoI, it's a bit pop rock sure but it does have that influence from Achtung with the distortion and harsh guitar. I think it's far too early for everyone to be writing the whole album off for 15 seconds of one song

People moaning about a 10 second clip, and the music video quality. Get a grip. Seriously. How can anyone not be excited about new U2 music however it ends up being in the long run. Sounds good to me. Can't wait.
