Boxing related songs
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:35:25 PM »
So,  I've got a boxing match coming in a few weeks (don't ask!!) and I've been asked to choose my entrance music.
I need some help choosing a track thats either
1. Going to get me pumped.
2. Going to get the crowd pumped.
3. Something boxing related.

Any ideas for any or all of the above will be very gratefully received.

^  this right here!

...of course, if that's not your thing, you could use Motorhead's "Iron Fist"...or even Pink's "So What," I guess.

How long is your intro blurb / tune? Does it have to be the beginning of a song or could you use a chunk from any part? Will it loop or just play once?

If it's a short piece, I'd consider "Heavy" by Collective Soul or "Power Out" by the Arcade Fire or "Do you see what I see?" by Hunters and Collectors. The key thing is to make it a song that pumps you up. Stay safe.

Thanks for all these suggestions, I'll have to jump on Spotify later to see which ones will be suitable. I should have also mentioned that I don't want anything that gives the suggestion that I am better than I actually am, I'd hate for the song to last longer that I do in the ring ha ha.

I imagine the ring walk will be around 45 seconds (guessing), then the blurb after that.

Keep them coming.

Oh, this would be perfect!

If you were really ballsy you could try something like My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music... separate yourself from the typical aggressive/menacing hip-hop or rock song and try something different. Using a song that has a "happy go lucky" connotation attached to it will make them feel really uneasy.

Depends how large and receptive the crowd would be.
