The last of stadiums?
« on: September 26, 2017, 12:50:42 PM »
Anyone else think this might have been the last time u2 does a stadium tour? I don't think ZOO tv Will really happen. And god knows how long until the next album after SOE and what kind of show that will be. By then, u2 will be in their 60s!

I also think this will be the last stadium tour. Adam has said previously he likes arena's more. Maybe they'll do stadiums for a short tour.

I really hope they're going to do more festivals!

I hope they only play arenas from now on...it's just so much more personal.

I don't think so. ZOOTV seems more like a joke than reality.

Probably the last stadium shows.....I do prefer arenas.  Nevertheless, it's amazing they can still draw that many folks in!

The sales in Phoenix seemed low until the St. Louis show was cancelled...I wonder how many of those folks came to Phoenix?

I think it's quite likely that this could be the end of stadium shows. With that in mind, I thought 360 could be their last stadium tour.

I think anywhere further afield than the US/Europe will still be stadiums into the future. Sth America/Australia/NZ seem to only be viable with a 2 week, 2 shows per town stadium schedule.

Hopefully they stick to the I&E plans for arenas only.

I don't think they're done with stadiums and I also wouldn't be shocked if they do a 30th anniversary AB/ZooTV tour in 2021/2022.

As long as they can sell out or mostly sell out stadiums and rake in the cash for less shows, why wouldn't they?

Personally, I prefer arenas, but I'll see them wherever.

I think you missed a bit of sarcasm there.

My first thought with TJT tour was that there is a good chance it is their last stadium tour.

If they do a “final tour” it will be in stadiums.

Nah, they should do one of those tours where they play fan's front rooms.  There's be a proper wake in everyone's home (and it'll go on a bit)....very Irish.  Make sure there's enough drink to go round (and round).

Hope so. Even if they are the best stadium band, I&E proved just how much more powerful a U2 gig can be in an 'intimate' arena.
