The sound quality on blackout was horrible so I can't comment on it until I hear the album

1 - This time I'm not expecting anything, so not hyped at all.
If there will be something I like on it good, if not whatever, I won't lose my sleep over it.

I've voted a 6. I have more than a passing interest but don't hold out much hope for the album to contain many surprises.

Not very. I'll buy it but out of the 3 songs released only The Little Things did anything for me. The last few albums had some highs but a lot more lows then they should had. I kinda expect the same of SOE.

Pretty much sums up how i feel

2. I just don't get very ezcited about U2 anymore.
Have you heard the new songs?

Yeah, they just aren't very good.

Hard to argue with, especially knowing what the band are capapble of

I think SOI was pretty good. Not perse in a musically or lyrically way, but in a personally way. The band showed us exactly how they felt when they grew up. I just can't disconnect Boy, October and maybe War with SOI. When I think about U2 I think for instance about an atmosphere created in SOI. That's a pretty good job! :)

The only thing I'm afraid of is that SOE is musically and lyrically pretty good, but doesn't create such an atmosphere, like No Line or ATYCLB.

You mean you don't expect an album at all?

For me, it just needs to be good, and judging by the 3 songs we have so far, it will be!

I meant that I don't expect it to be great, bad or anything else. In fact, I wouldn't care at all that they're putting out a new record if it wasn't for the accompanying tour.

4, but that may have been too generous.

This is the first time I've been completely apathetic for a U2 release. Best Thing is the first time since I've been a fan of the late 80s that I have not purchased the first single, or listened to on repeat over and over. As others have said, I'm not expecting much, so I won't really be disappointed.

Which means that it will be even better for you if/when it turns out to be really good!  ;D

6. I know this will be a good album, but then again (judging from the latest U2 releases) not great.

Just thankful that we'll be hearing new music from them before the year ends!

I second and third that last part, I know this will be great but the fact that we are getting NEW U2 MUSIC is one of the top 3 best things about this!

I'm quite hyped. Although Best Things didn't win me over, I really love Little Things and Blackout.  I am quite anxious to hear the rest of the album and am confident the rest of the songs will be good.

Now that I've heard a glimpse of Get Out Of Your Own Way, I am even more hyped!

Now 12 (off the scale).

It's better than I expected.  I've been on a SOE high (nothing illegal) since Friday!
