From U2start.com:
Mexico City is ready for two amazing shows of which the first one will be tonight. Bono has confirmed that the shows will be filmed and the band has rehearsed at least two songs that didn't make it to any show this year yet (Spanish Eyes & Sweetest Thing)
Those were both written for Joshua Tree. Interesting....
I hope they don't play Spanish Eyes though, even if I've never heard it, it cant be better than Sweetest Thing!

Spoiler alert: It is.

(to me anyway)

Do both of them on the B stage, acoustic style, and the crowd will essentially do the heavy lifting for Bono! Mexican crowds are awesome.

Spanish Eyes - love it! It’s the throwaway song the encore needs. Preceded by Luminous Times and followed by Walk To The Water, naturally. Show ends with a ten-minute cover of Southern Man, where a fan comes on stage to play guitar.

(Wakes up to the noise of persistent who-hoos...Hell-a-vation)

One night they'll do ST and one night they'll do SE is my guess - no way they'll do them both on both nights. Encore - I can't see them going before JT, doesn't fit the tone or the narrative arc of the set. Probably a bit of light relief after the darkness of the end of the second side of the JT going straight into BD and the 'party set'. One of them as an extra on the DVD??

Most would probably agree that Spanish Eyes if the far superior song, actually. You should really give it a listen.

To me it will always be a b side. The guitar is nice but the song sounds very incomplete. "Hey hey hey, baby hang on..." are more filler lyrics to me.

The DVD is going to be the Mexico City show?  Didn't they already do the Pop Mart DVD from there?  Seeing Spanish Eyes live would be cool.  Like that song.

It might just be a trial run. I actually hope they record later in the month. Or the DVD could be an amalgam show. If the release the audio it could be called the 'amalgam album'

So will is this the tour DVD?

Seems like a mistake to have it be outside of America, given the album.

Mexico is the DVD. 20 years since pop. Big emotional Mexico show after the earthquake aftermath . They'll do Spanish eyes to close the show. Little flamenco-Spanish Esque style best thing . Best venue sound since it's basically a parking lot with some bleachers.

If it was up to me, Phoenix would have been the appropriate DVD choice

They filmed Phoenix and San Diego too. It's just speculation by U2Start that MC will be the dvd. They could be filming all of shows since it's the final leg of the tour and the dvd could be a mix of all of these shows.

If it were my choice, I'd have Desert of Our Love segue into Still Haven't Found with Rise Up sampling a la Exit/Gloria  ;)

In all honesty, I doubt I'll ever buy another live recording from them. Performance wise they ain't able to match their previous efforts. I find it a struggle to watch the I+E or 360 tour. I'll stick with the rest thanks!
