Oceania alone justifies SP 2.0, it's stellar and def no more self indulgent than his normal 90's output. Ogilala is shaping up to be a real homerun.

Yeah, I know we've discussed them before.  I have to admit it's as much a case of my tastes changing as it is a case for any post-2000 drop in quality.  Like I said, I can't even listen to the 90's stuff now, which I liked at the time.

I have heard Ogilala a few times and its really good in my opinion.

Coldplay; I was really getting into them up until the release of AHFOD, and then the album came out and I listened to it. That's when the momentum I had with them slowed and it's not really picked up. Up until then, they were on the verge of becoming one of my bands

The Prodigy (after The Fat of the Land)
Suede (after Coming Up)
Madonna (after Ray of Light)
George Michael (after Older)
Coldplay (after A Rush of Blood...)

And sad to say: U2 (after HTDAAB)

Pulp - Jarvis Cocker is a genius of sorts, but they seem dated now when listening to them.  Blur & Oasis have stood the test of time.

I actually think Pulp's material has aged better than any of the Britpop bands.  Was listening to "Help the Aged" the other night and it sounds better than it did in the 90s.

There's a few bands who i started to dislike just because their fans are that bad.  cough Pearl Jam cough.

A large part of the reason I never got into Springsteen was his fans, so I totes understand.

the fans is such a weak excuse. you dont like that they go to all the shows they can or something? i can see why some people dont like radiohead cuz of the fans but the PJ and Springsteen thing i dont get.
