Bad at Twickenham was great this year with the Heroes snippet, but that one in the original post with The First Time is by far the greatest I've ever heard since Live Aid.

I like the one where they snippeted When I Look At The World, mainly because it's one of the only times they've played it live

YESSSSS! Bad+Heroes is amazing. The one from Rome (song doesn't start until 1:54 -ish):

I think the sniper where they just decided to play the entire version of The First Time in Bad was pretty awesome.

Since the tour for HTDAAB, Bono has cut this verse out of “Bad”:

If I could through myself
Set your spirit free, I'd lead your heart away
See you break, break away
Into the light
And to the day

And that really pisses me off because this song is too iconic in the U2 catalogue to chop up for the sake of some time constraint or Bono being lazy. So there is no great version of “Bad” without the full lyric. Further, Bono’s voice isn’t what it once was to drive “Bad” where it needs to go. Listen to Bono sing it anytime in the ‘80s - it’s considerably more powerful and intense. And it’s those versions that started my U2 journey...

There are so many great versions back then...but I recommend the version at the Point Depot for the new year’s eve concert. They intro with “All I Want is You” then catapult into “Bad”...

Also, the version for the Rattle and Hum movie is outstanding. Just brilliant how they add “Ruby Tuesday” at the end...
