I first collected these early demos in the mid-1980s. The pre-Boy recordings are remarkable. But this review included titles I had never heard:

“Hang Up”
“Born in the Back of the Streets”
And some untitled works

Would like to see the full demos from this period released.

It may be awhile before we know the extent of the band's collection of Demos/Alternate Takes. Some of these, as you mentioned, had surfaced in 45 (vinyl) format through a record store I worked in (Circa 1987). Perhaps they'll open the vaults after retirement....I'm especially interested in Edge's demos, which Eno described as emanating from "his bottomless bag of cassettes".

It is indeed surprising that, as a band of their success and influence, their label has not yet put out a big multi-disc boxed set yet that contains lots of unreleased material. Those demos surely would belong in such a box.
