3 Picks among many options
« on: April 19, 2018, 10:45:22 PM »
There must be a way to have a poll where people can pick a "best 3 out of 10' options in a "Poll" post", right?  I'm too old or dull or uninquisitive to figure it out.  Step-by-step instructions would be appreciated.

You can start by hitting New Poll inside any of the boards.
Add your subject, Example: New Songs Poll.
Ask your question. Example: What are your favorite songs?
Enter the choices under Option 1, 2, 3 and so forth.
If you want 10 options, then keep hitting Add Option until you have 10.
Under Maximum votes per user, enter the number of options members can pick.
From there, you can choose some different options. Like, how many days the poll will run. Or if you want members to see the results after they’ve voted, or after the poll has closed. Stuff like that.
Say something else about your poll in the edit field where you would normally enter text when starting a new subject.
Post it.

Excellent -- thank you Hawkmoon2e.  For some reason, the night I was trying to do this I was thinking the "maximum votes per user" was that people could vote multiple times.  That's just my bad for overthinking it.
