Thanks alot both of you!

It was back in 2005. The short version is, I found the live version of Beautiful Day from Slane Castle and fell in love. I could't get enoght. In 8-9 months I listen only, with few exceptions, to U2. Since then others have come into my life too. U2 is still my favourite but many come very VERY close. U2 is very special to me.
What about yourself?

Slane Castle 2001. The energy in unbelievable. Amazing.

In 1988 I heard I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and I couldn't get enough, don't even know why. Just felt lifted in some profound way.

What do you think of Songs of Experience?

Yes it is. I really love that concert!

I understand why. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For is a great song.

I think it's a okay album. It's some months ago I've listen to it last. I don't know the album very well. What about you?

I seem to be one of the few people absolutely blown away by the album.

Yes, you said it correctly, and I'm sorry for using a confusing saying in English but I think you know what I meant. Are you from Europe?

The threads of meaning in the album became clear to me. I had to listen many times and the music did not move me until I had listened a lot. Then it suddenly did. I tried to describe it in my first post here but probably failed.

I really like the love in the album. Maybe it took me a while to hear it. I still think several of the songs repeat some of the words too much, but that no longer prevents me from liking them. I think it is a complicated album and there is a lot to hear and understand so I think I was only hearing a little bit at first.

Favorite songs are Little Things and Red Flag Day.

What is your favorite album?

Faroe Islands and Denmark - very interesting! Beautiful places, I am sure.

Can't name a favorite song or album, maybe top 50 songs and top 10 albums, lol. Welcome to the forum and feel free to jump in.

I have a question, sorry if it is a dumb question (and it probably is).

Isn't it difficult to enjoy music in another language? Or, rather, isn't it difficult to really follow a band who sings in another language? I could see enjoying a song here or there, but to follow a band and make them a favorite or one of your favorites - ?

My husband likes Bjork a lot but if she sang in Icelandic instead of English I think it would have been difficult for him to get into the music if he didn't understand the lyrics. I onow you can get a translation but it's an obstacle.

But maybe I just don't understand because I'm American and have a huge selection of English language music to choose from.

I don't think it's a stupid question.
To get glad about music in another language is easy but it can be difficult to understand the lyrics sometimes if you are unsure about the language. I have tried to found out if there was a place where the lyrics was translatet or somebody who would but people said it was not a good idea because something would be lost in the translat. The problem with that argument was that I then didn't get enougt out of the lyrics.
I also like Rammstein, that one is difficult, because when I listen to their music I can't understand a word. But I have seen danish translations of the lyrics and there is english translations.
And there is no danish artist who have caught me in the way artists outside Denmark has.
