Will a week off lead to setlist variety?
« on: June 01, 2018, 06:43:04 AM »
The band has a week off between Atlanta and Montreal.  What chance do you think we'll see some different songs come into the setlist in Montreal?  Particularly as they're moving into Canada for a couple of shows, the American themes may not resonate as well.

Highly doubt it...

Week off probably means family time in the South of France.

Yup, probably keep AS in the setlist.

I guess they’ll spend some time rehearsing for the Apollo show. I’m sure it will be a shorter show, but quite different from the high-tech e+i show. Suppose some of these changes could make it to the Montreal shows, though that’s unlikely.

Based on Adam's comments to RS, I think its feasible to see something swapped out for "The Showman" or "Landlady".

Would love to see SoL in Europe. They have enough time off before the European leg to shake things up a bit I hope.

I would like them to keep "Gloria" and RFD.  I hope there isn't too much switching up.

There is no way that American Soul should be in any set list outside the US.  Not sure what substitutes there in the set list, Red Flag Day?  Bad? Looking forward to seeing what they pick for Montreal and the Apollo.

Well, I'm going for the Montreal shows so I'm hoping yes but in reality not expecting any changes.  Just hope the set list doesn't shrink anymore than it already has from the start form 27 songs to now it looks like they settled from the last few shows down to 24.

If they are not going to change anything,  wouldn't mind getting the same set list as Tulsa, since it was the longest set so far.

No. This is the show, y'all, at least until they get to Europe.

After going to both shows in SJ and Vegas, I was hoping they would vary the set for Chicago. All they did was take away more songs. Well, that is the way it is this tour. No more shows for me this tour.

It is a great show. A great theatrical show. I would not expect changes- if they do- kudos to those attending those shows! I loved going to shows in 2015  where they rotated a song in the beginning, end and two variable songs in the middle. But, this is a different tour.
