Only being 17, HTDAAB really got be hooked with U2. ATYCLB made me a fan, especially Beautiful Day which was and is my all time favorite song.  But HTDAAB and Vertigo along with City of Blinding Lights made me obsessed with U2

Vertigo was probably a good choice for single at that time. Considering the album it came from, specially. It's undeniable that it has a catchy and driving riff. However, that "Uno dos tres" introduction by Bono is one of the most atrocious things he has ever written / sung... Thankfully he has redeemed himself with some of the lyrics on the new album.

Best: Until The End Of The World

Worst: New York or Angel of Harlem, depending on the day. Maybe that's a sign I dislike songs about visiting New York.
