Yes. The other day I Will Follow was on U2/Sirius and my 12 year old said, "don't change this" - made my day.

I had taken them to Boston 2. The 12 year old would moan and groan about U2, which I'd play so she'd know some songs from the show. (She did not grow up listening to U2 at all).

Prior to the words above she had said, "Mom, can you play that song they played at that concert, you know, the second song?" She meant The Blackout. The kids must have been listening to that song since the show because they actually sang along. I then played a live version of EBW, which they only know the album version of, and sang along to that too. (My mom really liked that one). They requested Raised By Wolves, and I complied. But after that I figured the 12 year old would be completely U2-ed out, so I put somebody else on, and that's when I heard the above comment. I would have fallen over if I wasn't already sitting down.

I put on The Crystal Ballroom and it was the first time they'd heard it, and they asked to turn it up.

Next time I play music, tomorrow, when U2 comes up in the playlist my 12 year old will probably moan and groan again. Sigh. Well, I got a lovely half hour of sharing U2 with a carful of people who were into it for once in my damn life. (Sniff) I'll treasure it forever.

This is how I became a fan. Heard "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for" on one of my mom's burned CD's as she was driving me home from school at the age of 13. Rest is history
