Planning documents submitted for a U2 visitor centre in place of their current Hanover quay. It will "contain exhibit spaces, which will house memorabilia from U2’s vast musical history including old guitars, performance outfits and paraphernalia from their past" along with mock ups of the studio and Larry's kitchen.

 “the voice of the band will be a constant throughout”  and “the goal is to create a sense of the social, cultural and political context of the band’s work and their inspiration”

Coming from an architectural family.....I like it.
Although it looks a bit like a ferry terminal.
I suspect Bono's guitars (he doesn't play now) will be kept well behind the glass.
I want to apply for a job as security....imagine spending the night with all of that.....

I think I'm looking forward to a reconstruction of Larry's kitchen.
Is The Music Room the rehearsal space they had at Mount Temple?

Although personally I'd want Bono's bedroom (at 10 Cedarwood Road, not where he lives now  ;) ;))

Larry's ... kitchen?

<head slap>

Let it be noted, it only took me three days to figure out that this wouldn't be, like, Larry's current kitchen, but his kitchen from 1976.

Look, I'm slow, whattaya want?

LMAO!  Had to think about that for a minute myself, then I was like "duh" it's the one Bono always talked about, haha!

There’s a new image floating around if floor plans. There’s a target and some experience in the design...

Apparently U2 has to resubmit the plans within the next 6 months as the old one's aren't approved. I have no idea why, but this other place in Dublin looks interesting

Yep. I'm making my first visit (can't believe it has taken this long) in October. I am squeezing 3 days between Manchester and London gigs.
