London 1

Adored the show, especially Gloria, and the reworked Pride and New Years Day. The Zooropa intro, The Blackout and Lights of Home were stunning. Quite emotional to me. I cried during Summer of Love. I didn’t think I would. I normally only cry during Bad. I missed Bad. What can I say - I’m a Bad girl 😁 All the AB stuff was very welcome - I loved Zoo Station, The Fly and Stay - although the bass sounded a bit wrong during The Fly. Maybe it was where we were sat (very near the E stage). Stay was absolutely singalong heaven. The band seemed happy and like they were having fun. I was hoping for Landlady but alas, it wasn’t to be. I thought the ‘phonecall home’ was particularly genuine and I liked how Bono recited the Showman lyrics at this point. GOOYOW had the crowd near me singing along loads. In my seated area most people stood for the whole show thankfully. Even though I was jealous of the GA crowd I felt I was able to bounce along to the music without feeling self-conscious.standing up in the seated area. Love is Bigger was simply adorable but I felt the band could’ve savoured it a little more. It was over too soon. One with the EU flag and the message of unity hit just the right tone I thought (as a remainer myself) without being overly preachy to the Brexiteers. A truly truly great night There’s no them, there’s only us ❤️

There's only you, there's only me!

I heard in Manchester he said stuff about Europe loving the UK, and it felt just right, uniting and not preachy.

You'll get Bad again.

You survived the set list! Bad aside, of course. But you lived!

Are you pulling an all-nighter? It's got to be 4 or 5am there (lost track of summer/winter time change).

What a lovely review, MrsZoo. Going tonight and can’t wait - got seats near the e stage. Anyone tell me what time the band hit the stage? Was it 2030 ish?

2030 But I've just had a text from Ticketmaster saying they're on at 8 which is odd. They almost certainly won't play Bad.

One of the attendants last night said 8pm but it was actually 8.30pm. Yes Laoghaire I was up extremely late! Too excited to sleep. I’ll regret it today. No work today but it’s half term here so I have my two kids plus two others all day 😳

The tickets say 8pm/20:00 but they have been hitting the stage half hour later.

In Boston, the arena was only half full at 8. Around 8:20 my husband saw Edge behind the stage, guitar on, ready to go, patiently waiting. By 8:30 the arena had filled up and they hit the stage.

I should add that my husband informed me of this observation by saying he could see "the guitarist." I said, "THE EDGE? YOU SEE THE EDGE? WHERE?" and he said, "Yeah, is that the guitar player's name?"

He calls Bruno Mars, who we saw last year, "that guy."

Lol! My husband calls Bono ‘Nick Cotton’ to wind me up. (A slimey leather-clad bad guy from English soap opera Eastenders.
