He says he's gonna kick the darkness
'til it bleeds daylight"

I was just going to post this line!  ;D

Great minds and all that... Rattle and Hum THE ALBUM suffered from the negative press from the movie - but it really does contain some fine music, and some of Bono's best lyrics - God Part II, Heartland, All I Want is You, Love Rescue Me, Angel of Harlem, Hawkmoon...
Another R&H appreciator ;D I love that album.

I love that whole era - the 'vibe of the thing', the sounds, the curiousity about the world...
With the exception of my beloved Pop, I've probably listened to this album more than any other.
It was a staple in everyone's dorm rooms at university in the early 1990's!

Right now, I've become obsessed with A Day Without Me (obviously, right?).

I love the lines:

I started a landslide in my ego....

I just noticed that the Crazy Tonight remix was called the "Kick the darkness" remix.  :D :D

Yup!
It's a staple in my car and has been since -well since I got my first car! Honestly, it is probably my most played album (possibly even more than AB).

If the sky can crack
there must be some way back
to love and only love
...
let's see colors that have never been seen
let's go to places noone else has been
...
we need the rain to wash away our bad luck

well. the whole song is great.

I’ve been in every black hole
At the altar of the dark star
My body’s now a begging bowl
That’s begging to get back, begging to get back
To my heart
To the rhythm of my soul
To the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control

Got the swing, got the sway, got my straw in lemonade
Still looking for the face I had before the world was made

"Brown eyed girl across the street
On rue Saint Divine
I thought this is the one for me
But she was already mine
You were already mine..."

-A Man and a Woman

Sadly, they didn't sing the duet yesterday  :(

^yeah, Edge would have nailed it perfectly! But AMAAW really came out of nowhere. I'm counting my blessings. I wish they did it full band... with that bassline!  ;D
