Thanks SG. Yes, I still can´t believe how lucky I am. Being a long time fan, I have waited for an opportunity to see U2 in their homeland for years, and finally it will turn into reality. And we´re going not to just one concert there, but all three! It´s gonna be great to meet so many U2 fans from all over the world there.

It would be a highlight of my life for sure. I see them on September 24th at Giants Stadium. My seats are very good reserved ones because I am short and do not do GA too well!!  I haven't seen them for 22 years (the Joshua Tree) so this means the world to me as well.  I am thrilled for you. So nice to "see" you online for once!

If anyone's in Dublin for the gigs, and has facebook, and wants to meet up - try this event on 25th July:

Hey everyone!

I was a bit slow in replying to my own post... shame on me  ::)
I couldn't get tickets in the normal sales so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go, but now I've arranged to trade tickets, so if all goes well I should be there for the 25th (GA ticket)!!! Well actually I just booked a flight so I'll be there anyway, trade or no trade!  ;D And if I get bored on the 24th I'll just join the GA line and have a chat with all the other U2 fans I reckon!

Would love to see you guys there! Do any of you have good tips for accommodation? (Heh, if there is any left by now!)

Good idea about the Facebook group Davey, I just joined.

Dublin here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

Ive set up two events through facebook. One is a general meetup open to everyone on the Saturday for a pre show gathering, which some of you already have signed up for: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=78890681030

Ive set up a second one for the Sunday for anyone of you guys are in Dublin - just the @u2-ers! http://www.facebook.com/editevent.php?success=1&picture&eid=91857597641&new&m=1#/event.php?eid=91857597641

I'll show you round the U2 Dublin sites and we'll wrap up the day in the Baggot Inn for a few pints if anyone here is interested.

The very one - the one with the extra bubbles that go straight to your head with an extra "sugar" rush!

Hi All,

I just got a great value room for the sat concert in Dublin.  Took me ages to find as city centre was chockers and CRAZY prices.
green isle hotel, dublin. Looks about 8km from city and has a shuttle into the city for concert. Got my room for 79 euros.
Anyway, just thought it might be good to look at for those not wanting to get ripped off in city.

see you folks on saturday!

Just an option for anyone from out of town coming to Dublin for the U2 shows. We have two spare rooms in our house, one single, one twin. If anyone finds themselves at a loss for accomodation (for any night, subject to availability and free of charge of course!) you're more than welcome to stay with us. Feel free to PM.
