Fran was busking outside the British Library in London last week - about 50 people stopped to watch, most walked by clueless as to who he was, even when he performed famous songs like Driftwood and Sing.

25th anniversary of levelling the land shows later this year.

Their Glastonbury set in 94 is still one of the best seen at Glasto and to this day still one of the biggest crowds....was manic!

Crowds back then were SO much better than today....smartohones and filming everything has killed the buzz.

A big mass of humanity going mad together is barely seen nowadays really - shame.

Always had a soft spot for Levellers - that album was a belter, they went a bit too commercial after it trying to ride a wave 'what a beautiful day' for example was awful but overall a proper band - a band who are always on the road, year in year out - playing shows all over the place.

Look at how prolific they have been over years playing live - just amazing really to see that many shows every year...

i know, they always were verry active and still are. Indeed the
Phone kills the spirit. I never take my Phone to the venue.
Have been backstage a few times, they are so nice. Simon has
the most beautiful raw voice i ever heard. 'The Boatman' is still
my personal anthem (secretly).
