New album has leaked...... and it's amazing! Musically and lyrically it's very much cut from the same fabric as Holy Bible, but with a few surprises to be had. There's a few of those weird little dialog snippets between songs too. It feels like the mid 90's all over again, in a good way. Standout tracks include Me And Stephen Hawking, Peeled Apples, and Facing Page Top Left. Best thing they've done in a decade, easily. I can't wait until the physical release...

downloaded it last night.................IT'S MAMMOTH!!

You all need this album.  ;)

Top band. Design for Life still gives me chills
It's a shame they don't get more love outside of Europe
Very good live too

hmm - I reckon it could give them a load of publicity and maybe increase their album sales.  :P

I'm old enough to remember the whole FGTH Relax debacle.

I'm really getting in to the Manics new album now. Richey's lyrics are amazing.
My faves our This Joke Sport Severed and Facing Page Top Left.
I can play them on guitar and can put up tabs if anyone's interested.

It's a great album, my 2nd favourite of the year so far. My faves at the moment are Jackie Collins, Me & Steven Hawkins, She Bathed Herself In A Bath Of Bleach and Journal For Plague Lovers, the chorus on the title track is soooo good. I like the ones you mentioned as well. Some of the riffs remind me of REM, like the opening riff on She Bathed...... Facing Page reminds me of Small Black Flowers. The lyrics are amazing, as you say. And some of the titles are classic Manics chaos. I think this album contains some of the finest Manics materiel ever, an instant classic. Probably soon to be my favourite Manics album, I've got it on as I write this, Marlon JD is on now, it's sooo f***ing good!!!!  ;D

I didn't think they would top Send Away the Tigers, but I think they have.
SATT was a great but commercial album in the same vain as EMG and TIMTTMY.

Journal for Plague Lovers is amazing because the music is the perfect accompaniment to Richey's lyrics.
It's like the best bits of the Manics with Richey and post Richey.
I'm even beginning to like the one Nicky Wire sings on  :)

I think every album they've done is amazing. And no two albums are the same. Unlike most people I think all of their 2000's output is amazing.
