I took a water aerobics class this morning. I loved it. I just love swimming and being in pools so much...
How fun, EC! Maybe water sports will save you for this summer gym class? :)

Do you have to wear your heart rate monitor for it to count?  Can you wear it in the water?

dream, what kind of bike do you have? I have a 2009 fuji finest 2.0.  He's beautiful.  How long is your long run?  Good running shoes are SO expensive. After trying 5 different kinds I finally found a pair that don't give me blisters after 4miles.  They're Brooks.  But they cost about $120.  ouch.

EC, Water Aerobics sounds fun!

jab, good for you for making time for it!

Today I needed to get my mind off of things and I had some time... so I lifted... EVERYTHING.  My whole body.  2 hours.  Then I laid out next to the pool.  Now I am made of jello.

Yeah, it's waterproof.

Congrats on lifting, Zooey, even if you feel like jello now. :D

Drove 420 miles then joined mom and her neighbors for water aerobics today.  Summer water aerobics is a little more relaxed than the winter class, but there are still some excellent stretches that are way more fun in the pool.   ;D

zooey!  another workout AFTER the pool?  this is why you're the tribe BAMF!

BSS - equally impressed with a workout after such a crazy-long drive! (more relaxed or not!)

yeah, I'm trying to do doubles all this week, while I have time.

Downside though? I got sun burnt. I was trying to get rid of my practice suit tan lines, since I'm going to San Diego this weekend and want to wear my bikini. But it was the first time in the bilini since last year and... ouch.   :(

BSS - 420 miles is a LOT of miles. Must've felt good to move around after that.

Bikini debut?  You're brave  ;D

We're doing a little weekend trip to San Diego the weekend after you, Zooey.  The dog's coming with us because we found this place that does kayaking to a dog beach.  I'm telling myself that most participants will be wearing one-piece suits like me...after all, they should be most worried about their dogs, not their bods...I hope!

Zooey- Wow, you are a work out machine! Nice job today! As for my bike, I don't know off hand, I'll have to check tomorrow, althought I do know it's a Schwinn  ::)

EC- water aerobics sounds really cool, I've always wanted to try that

jab- nice job on the 7/7 week, it takes a lot to get out there like that

BSS- thats awesome too, especially after such a long drive, I'm always dead

Geez, everybody's out there exercising!

As for me, I had my dr. appointment and everything went well, no stress fracture. But to help my feet from all my problems I might be getting inserts in 2 weeks.
I also just got back from a 7 miler, and feel pretty good! Not my fastest pace, but I went the distance!

BSS - yep, my friend and I both decided to say "aw to hell with it" and wear our bikinis this weekend.  The kayaking thing sounds really really cool.  But, um, does the dog ride in the kayak with you? I mean, that would be pretty freakin' sweet and make for a great christmas card photo!

Dream, glad your dr. appt. went well.  7 miles is GREAT!  I don't care about pace - I'm more about endurance.

I did another double today.  20 minutes of intervals on bike/treadmill/elliptical this morning for a total of 1 hour and then 45 minutes of intervals on the treadmill this afternoon.  Use it while ya got it!

So.... this weekend my friend decided we should rent wetsuits and try open water swimming.  Um... have I ever told you guys that I'm absolutely terrified of sharks.  And there are sharks in San Diego.  All the time.  Everywhere.  You just don't see them until they're gnawing your leg off (and lets face it, you probably don't really see them then either).  Good news is, most people survive shark attacks and have a really great story to tell and maybe even get featured on a Discovery Channel show during Shark Week. So there's that... and I'm a little faster swimmer than my friend so... I've got that in my favor as well.

I'm going to die, y'all.

zooey, when we're camping, I always tell myself you don't have to run faster than the bear, just the other person.  You'll be fine.

haha, good luck this weekend Zooey!

I got new running shoes today! They're basically the same Mizunos that I had before, but oh well. Today was supposed to be my first two-a-day over the summer, but seeing as I woke up at 10-11ish I kinda had to clump them together and run another 7. Tomorrow is interval day ( :( ) and I'm debating whether to go in the morning or evening...
