Ever notice how someone singing in French or some foreign language can sound really good even when they could be singing something like, "saber toothed screaming lemurs rule the world, the time's essence is as much a doubt as improbability might sing, my thought of horse radish drift through the fragrant air, while everything I say or do is nocturnal."

An example could by 99 Luft Balloons, or a song by Puffy Amyumi

'Stop It' at the end of God Part II. It means the song is over, therfore ruined!  ;D Actually, come to think of it - any last line of a U2 song is not good is it!
Ok, I'm bored  :-\

I love Nena's 99 Luftballoons, never heard it in English, although she apparently sang it in English as well.
I still have no clue what it's talking about. Well, other than the 99 balloons.

We used to sing "99 Luftballoons" in 7th grade, just butchering the German.  The English version wasn't nearly as fun.

Kind of like "Der Komminsar"? (I think I've just butchered the spelling on that, but you get my drift! SO much cooler in German.)  ;D

Well, it does have meaning, doesn't it?

and 99 luft balloons means 99 Red balloons, in case someone doesn't know that.  I have the english german version, and they both sound sort of the same to me- ???

Really? I like that line; it's one of my favorite parts of the song. U2 do seem to be among the last of the rock stars in this era.

ACDC can't hold a candle up to U2.
