Avril Lavigne  Cheesy hahahahaha

My GF is a fan, so I get to hear her music a lot, which for the most part is crap, but...she has some good tunes. Honestly! Sometimes I find myself singing them without even realsing  Shocked

I can't remember what the songs are called but I remember I like the opening track off the first two albums!

And there's this really nice song called Why.

Plus, she's seriously sexy.  Tongue

I would just like to point out that I in no way promote the music of Avril Lavigne. I actually think she's pretty rubish musically, is an annoying person and has contributed nothing to music. I am also in way related to Jick.   Grin

I am so with you when it comes to Ms Avril. Find her annoying more often than not, yet I find myself get hooked on more and more of her songs. I do feel that her singing has improved, she sounded more polished as a singer live now than when she first broke onto the music scene. And yes, I did go to her concert earlier this year in Edmonton.  Embarrassed Pretended that I was all disgusted having to accompany my kids to her show.

It is just so wrong for a middle-age man, such as myself, who think young Avril is hot. Guilty as charged.

Madonna's CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR album.

There...I said it.

It's a great album. The producer, Stuart Price, AKA: Jacques Lu Cont, The Thin White Duke, made a slamming Madonna record. It flows really well and sounds great. It's edgy. A big Giorgio Moroder influence...I wonder if U2's "Pop" would have worked better with someone who understood dance culture as well as Price obviously does, (he has done awesome remixes for Depeche, New Order, Goldfrapp, Royksopp, Killers, etc...and has he own 80's-ish band: Zoot Woman).

So as embarrassed as I am to name a Madonna album, I gotta give credit where it's due.

Here is my guilty pleasure  (I can't believe I'm saying this):  John Denver.  My dad listened to him when i was growing up, and to hear his songs, makes me feel nine again.  *waits for rotten tomatoes*

Yooper -  Sunshine on my shoulders is one of my favorites (Annie's song too).

There -  I SAID IT - OK!!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have a few Madonna albums in my collection.   The original one with Lucky Star and the Like A Virgin one are both classics!!!!  Fun stuff.  I am not, however, a huge fan of hers as a person.
