Thanks for the kind welcome!  Smiley
I'm actually really happy that they ended with MOS... not just because (at the moment) its my favourite u2 song, but also i think it's good that they're opening/ closing the show with new songs, and not falling back on their old stuff...
Although i have to agree it is quite a depressing song to end with, isn't it about a drug addict or something?  Tongue
You are welcome Wink Yes, I do love MOS, and I am happy that they do have a strong sense of keeping modern and fresh. But I really don't like when they end shows with sad songs like: 40, All I Want Is You, MOS, etc.
Hmm, What do you think would be the best song to close with then? i would go for Cedars of Lebanon, cos tbh none of the songs on NLOTH are particularly upbeat (at least none of the ones they aren't already using as openers).

It's amazing what they did to IGCIIDGCT, and the head nodding at the beginning made me laugh so hard!  Cheesy

I just watched a shakey video with terrible audio of UltraViolet and it was still epic. U2 has finally returned their best song to the setlist. I'd pay $100 to go see U2 play this one song.

Tell me about it; much better than I expected for first night, and it's so soon too. The three U's (Ultraviolet, Unforgettable Fire, Unknown Caller) sound great, no?

This video of Unknown Caller is hilarious - during the solo, edge messes up a bit, and you can see Bono acting frustrated when he makes mistakes, then tries to help him time the guitar better, before giving a thumbs up when edge fixes his mistakes  Cheesy

Yes, Bono sung Ultraviolet almost flawlessly, as good as the 90's. He did cut some of the verses on it though. Not sure if on purpose but the song had some cuts for sure. Still amazing to hear it and glad they're playing it on this tour!

Gotta love opening night!  It's a night filled with joy, fright, celebration, anticipation, successes and stumbles.  Wow - so much potential for this tour; so glad it's going to take them a while to figure it all out.
