Why it's Ian Astbury of the fabulous Cult ;)

Which band's greatest hits album outsold all other artists in the US?

When? Or does that matter?

It does not matter Hawk. It is not one particular year. It is of all time. The album is really Volume 1 of their stuff. If I give the years on their album cover I will give it away ;).

Queen? I really have no idea. Not very good at music trivia, I guess. Now movies I'd be brilliant at.

The Eagles! I believe it went 29x platinum in 1976

Give me a little while to come up with another! Or is someone else has a question?

Good Dark Angel you got it! I do have one-

Why did the great band Split Enz change the spelling of Ends to Enz?  There is a specific reason for it. It may be difficult for anyone who doesn't follow them so maybe julsport or Joe may be the ones to get it.

it was to signify their New Zealand roots! I believe they changed it in 1972 before they went to Australia!

1980's band New Order grew out of which post-punk Mancunian band?

Joy Division.

And that Eagles Greatest Hits album would be the Volume One edition, eh?

How did Led Zeppelin get their name?

When Jimmy Page was forming the band, Keith Moon said it would go down (sink) like a lead balloon. John Entwistle changed it to lead zeppelin meaning lighter than air but they decided to take the a out of lead to avoid confusion in pronunciation.  Right, Hawk? ;)

Pretty easy one! I heard the Don McLean song Americian Pie from 1971 on the radio before. What event is he singing about when he says "the day the music died"?

And speaking of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper....
What other artist was with them on that infamous night, but did not get on the plane?
