Imagine Muse just having finished an epic three-hour set. Also picture Thom Yorke going on stage and playing No Surprises on the acoustic guitar immediately after. Upon strumming that first chord, everything Muse has just performed becomes irrelevant, and ultimately cynical. Radiohead is king.

I'm content with who I am.

Why are people so unoriginal? The words "Play nice now" castrate my mind and diminish any sliver of substantial discussion when I glance at the results of this poll. Radiohead: 17; Muse: 17... make up your ****ing minds people, not everyone is a winner; that's precisely how the communist ideology spread, because supposedly everyone's equal in regards to economic status, although, I must admit, that's a horrible analogy. Cheesy

Well, a 17-all result is in favour of both groups of fans.

I would say that the 34 people who have voted thus far have made up their minds; just by accident that so far there's equal numbers of them. That doesn't make people unoriginal, and has nothing to do with people "playing nice" or considering things equal.

I chose not to vote because I love both bands dearly, to me, they are equal; you can call me "unoriginal" if you want, I really couldn't give two hoots.

I'm not sure I can choose one. I can see ways that they're similar, but I like both for different reasons and in different ways. They share some sounds and themes, but Muse takes a shock-and-awe "let me tell you a story about the world ending" tack, whereas Radiohead has more of a splinter-in-the-psyche approach. Fantastic musicians all of them.

Weird but true--I was in Oxford for a day in May this year, and I walked within three feet of Thom. He was walking into a Borders right behind (I assume) his girlfriend and kids. It was bizarre but awesome.  Grin The sad part about it was that none of the friends I was with at the time knew what he looks like enough to share my excitement over the next 20 minutes...  Embarrassed
