How about the last 40 seconds of Your Blue Room? where Adam talks!  :-X

For some reason I thought it was Brian Eno. But gee does Adam have a deep voice.  :-[

Your Blue Room is a top 3 U2 song in my opinion.  Miss Sarajevo and Slug are both top 20, also.  I don't care if the rest of the album would have been 40 minutes of that alarm at the end of The Wanderer, I'd still call it a good album.  But actually, the rest of the album isn't that bad, especially the first half of the album.  The second half of the album is mostly weaker tracks, but the same can be said for every U2 album that has followed it.  Pop, ATYCLB, and HTDAAB all have almost all the weaker tracks stacked on the bottom half of the album.

But anyways, if I were to rank the songs off OS1:
1) Your Blue Room
2) Slug
3) Miss Sarajevo
4) Ito Okashi
5) Theme from Let's Go Native
6) Always Forever Now
7) Beach Sequence
8) United Colours
9) A Different Kind of Blue
10) Theme from The Swan
11) Plot 180
12) Corpse (The Chains are Way Too Long)
13) One Minute Warning
14) Elvis Ate America

...bump

hate to see another thread gone here.

This one would have been most certainly likely to bite the dust.

Love the Passengers...

Apart from the songs on this album, Miss Sarajevo, Your Blue Room, Elvis Ate America, Slug and Let's Go Native, my favourite tunes from this album are One Minute Warning, Beach Sequence and United Colors.

Edge's guitar is so awesome on United Colors. The hidden single among the bunch of tunes is One Minute Warning.

there's an argument to be made that No Line was the second Passengers album as it had all five of the members on it.

Totally agree. If they had included the Out of Water remixes of Boots and Crazy + Soon + Winter (film version) it would be an even more Passengers album. I do hope that Songs of Ascent gets released produced by Eno / Lanois / Andy Barlow.
