With the Beatles "Rock Band" coming out on 9/9/09, it got me wondering about a U2 "rock band" or "guitar hero".  Do you think that sort of thing would work well with U2/s songs?  Why or why not?  Which songs might lend themselves to that format?

Goddamn yes yes yes! Bring it out with the gibson explorer also, it would be ace.

The fly, Gone, One, Sunday bloody sunday, Streets... they'd all be ace. I would love it if this happened.

Absolutely!  However, I would hope that it would be RockBand over Guitar Hero, I just like the gameplay better...

I disagree on the October thing...but good point on the albums.

How cool would the opening level be to be playing some covers at the talent show though? Include some influences like the Clash, Bowie, etc. I have been wanting this game for a long time...I'm sure its years off at best...U2 is still too relevant to pursue, even though I wouldn't view it as selling out I'm sure many would.

i dunno if it would happen, edge can't play guitar hero, so i'd go by that, that it probably won't happen, but i'd love to give it a go Tongue

Yes, it was in one of my video game magazines last fall...EGM I think.  I haven't heard anything more about it, but that doesn't mean anything.  Those games take a while to make.  It would probably be a Guitar Hero game, not Rock Band, but I do prefer Rock Band over Guitar Hero.
