Heya Edgefest - I just heard about this...  Three or four Bonogirls ( including myself) may join you but let me confirm with them!

Hi Edgefest and Everyone!

Count us in!!!   Me and p8ru2  Grin  Bellydancer will most likely join in later in the evening.  Looking forward to meeting up.

Any of the @u2 staff heading north?HuhHuhHuh?

I sure wish I was coming! I would love to meet my OLC & forum pals. I was lucky to meet a few in NYC. It is nice that sub groups of us are meeting all over the US with U2!!! Have fun!!! Must see photos and tell us all about it!

The Pan Pacific is lovely, they do have some very good deals as well.  However, can't beat the location of the Westin for the show so I'm going to stick with it.  I got $219 for a one bedroom suite way back in March when they first announced the show that I never canceled (yay me).  If Edge is staying at the Pan Pacific though, I'll join you guys for breakfast, sound good?

Tongue

We can still do breakfast there...  I am a bit, annoyed, yeah, lets go with annoyed...  my sister didn't confirm (more likely even book... but I'm ust being cranky) the Westin, so we lost reservation... now she is saying can't afford the Pan.  She now says we are in at the Hampton Inn.  still very close by, so ended up ok.  I just really hate changes in plans that I thought were set 6 months ago.  grrrr.

Ah well... it's all good Witsa.  If I wasn't with my mom and was actually partying non-stop, it would suck that we aren't in the same hotel, however I have to somewhat measure my U2-ness to avoid driving her crazy Tongue  We will still have a great time on Tuesday night though! Smiley  Next year if there is an Edmonton, it will be a bit different Cheesy

Count me (and my wife) in at Doolins. What fun - it will be cool to meet you all and we MUST stay at the pub until ElJ and her husband get there after the game. (I think my wife and I are meeting her for lunch on the Tuesday also  Wink)

Hello all!  This will be my first U2 concert in GA, so I'm incredibly excited... will be driving up from Seattle with friends after work on Tuesday, so probably will arrive too late for the Doolin's shindig. Very disappointed.  Hopefully we can meet some of you in the GA queue, though.  Any words of advice for three short girls who want to see more than sweaty backs?

Also, are there any plans afoot to do something special during the concert, since it's their last stop on this leg?  I was thinking of those glow bracelets and such that seem to be everywhere around Halloween - if enough people had them, and we all got them out for a particular song, it would make a beautiful sight from the stage.  Or something like that, just to say "thanks, guys, we wanted to do something for you"...

Hi Sparroww!  EdgeFest, who'll also be in Vancouver, started a very helpful thread here:  http://forum.atu2.com/index.php/topic,8361.0.html

If you're not too tired from the drive, drop by Doolins - I'm sure it's open past midnight!

Great idea about the glow bracelets, or some other such thing.  How to organise it, though?

Hey Sparroww!  Yes, check out that thread ElJay linked to, and don't believe the guys that are saying "I showed up at 5pm and got a great spot no problem.  They are either 6'5" or pushed in rudely squashing the people who really did EARN the front rail.  Also, you want a spot on the outer ring looking toward the stage, especially if you're short, because there is NO ONE in front of you at any point.  You have to turn around in the pit at some point if you're in there, and suddenly you are "behind" everyone.  If you're OK standing 15 deep in the very middle of the pit and can't see a thing, listen to them and not me Tongue

I do have some of those bracelets, great idea!  Unfortunately there are not a ton of people on here going to Vancouver, we'd better to organize that on the official board if we wanted to try.

We plan to be at the pub late so if you are not wiped out you are more than welcome to join us better late than never!

My best advice?  Be in line by 6am for the best spot of your life, and no later than 8am for one on the rail further down to the end.  It will be worth the extra few hours of your life, I can GUARANTEE you that!! Smiley

Whoa do i have a lo of stuff to catch up on....gotta read through loads of GA experiences and i don't have much time!

@EdgeFest: way to thourouhgly freak people out about the Downtown Eastside. I'm immune and desensitized to it 'cause I'm in Gastown at least once a week, but ya, I guess if you're from out of town and you wander into that neighbourhood it could scare the crap out of you. Mind you, I don't think it's as dangerous as you make it out to be, neither during the day nor at night. But good on ya for warning ppl. It certainly is the scourge of our country...unthinkable when the financial district is a few blocks west *sigh*

I rsvp'd in the zootopia (msinfinity) but finally made it over here....can't wait for this...

What time are ppl (thinking of) lining up for GA? last time around I got to GM Place at 9am and was like 60th...dunno if i can get down there much earlier though Sad

oh...and I'm a total Bonogirl and will represent!
