1- Sunday Bloody Sunday : Iconic Larry Mullen riff
2- Bad (live version)  Very hard beat to keep up for a long time.
3- Acrobat : weird beat, but great

I may not be answering what you are asking (technically drumming?) but here's mine:

Exit - I can't believe nobody has mentioned this!  Everytime I'm finished listening to the song I hear Larry say - "me, I'm a concussionist, I   like to hit things."
A Celebration - again - hitting things..
Treasure (What ever happened to Pete the Chop?) - I think they were all on top of their game on this song - I'm still stunned this didn't make an album!

Why has nobody mentioned Hawkmoon?  That song's drums make my soul vibrate.

Larry is without a doubt a hugely important -- indeed essential -- ingredient in the U2 sound!

(1)  Not trying to be deliberately obtuse or anything, but I have to nominate Larry's playing on "Tower of Song" from the Leonard Cohen movie:  it's not often he gets to be this quiet, but boy, does he make it work!  In its own restrained way, the drumming in this song is as purposeful and powerful as on SBS!
(2)  Sunday Bloody Sunday!
(3)  Just about anything from "War", really!

I agree with SBS, obviously, but I'll chose other 3:

Bad
I threw a brick
Miami

Van Diemen's Land.
MLK

more seriously anything on Achtung...I like the sound of the drums on that album...and the earlier stuff. I like the drums on October and the more arty drumming in TUF.

yeah those are 3 great drum tracks! The Fly & Mysterious ways are pretty hot too! There's some good drums to be heard on NLOTH too! NLOTH is hot, Magnificent has an awesome disco beat, and Stand Up is right on, and Breathe starts out on a cool 6/8 meter with some unruly tribal drums. I love when the snare and guitar crash in. In my opinion on the last 3 albums the drums could be slightly louder. Especially on HTDAAB. That album has some good drum parts but it's not loud enough. Much improved on NLOTH, just that Bono is mixed a little loud.  8)
