No Line On the Horizon - subtle but there's a sort of marching drive to it.
Breathe - the calm before the storm; the opening rumble, then a huge crash of symbols  :)

and it may seem strange to include it but...

So Cruel

It's so simple, yet his drums are most of what you hear, and it's really effective for the mood of the piece.

Like a Song
Bad
Hmm . . . what about Streets, especially live versions?  I know Edge's guitar stands out, but the momentum that makes you want to jump up and down and play it over and over again in your car (you meaning me) comes from Larry.

SBS is a given, too.

Too many to choose from as a drummer who has learned almost every song

1. Sunday Bloody Sunday
2. Bullet the blue sky
3. Streets
4. Landlady (this might be a surprise but listen to track closely)
5. COBL
6. One tree Hill
7. Discotheque live version

Zombie thread, but why not?

With a Shout - that drum solo in the later part of the song, whoooooo!!
Plus a ton of other stuff off of October
SBS - a given
Walk On - great, creative, absolutely makes the song
Lights of Home - I literally don't know how he can syncopate like that, holy moly . Mind BLOWN.
Little Things - maybe not uproarious drumming like the October album, but very cerebral on this song. The cymbals on the first "the end is here" kill me, for example. In this mortal song, Larry is the heartbeat coming back to life.

Whoops, I meant Rejoice, not With a Shout.

Anyway, it's like that old joke: "I just flew in from Dublin and boy are my arms tired."

Lol! Love the joke!   :)

I totally agree with you on these songs. SBS (of course!), Please, With a shout, Bullet, Like a song, Breathe but also Rejoice, Two Hearts Beat As One and Shadows And Tall Trees.
The jazzy drumming on Cedars of Lebanon is brilliant as well (subtle yet just dazzling). It's sooo hard to choose.

I just got this picture in my head - suddenly wished I were Kelly Eddington.

In a semidark room, a Yamaha drum kit sits in a corner. The door is open and the light from the door casts a long shadow into the room from the figure standing there, in sillohuette.

And the drums are slightly shrinking away from the figure. Maybe quavering a little.
