well, going into it, i had muscle mass and stuff, not a lot of fat, so thats why i weigh more than say the really big/fat kids in are grade sometimes, i lost a lot of the fat, so i have muscle, im more concerned about getting cardio up

Ok here's my problem 
But first, so I don't have to say "my friend" a bunch of times, I'm just going to list the people involved 

Kaitlin- Friend
V- Band teacher
Mark- V's nephew (who's really hot  )


Ok... so every year for our school play, a bunch of people from V's band volunteer to play in the pit band - the band that provides the music for the singers in the play. So this happens every year, and since I'm not in V's band I can't be in pit, but Kaitlin is so she's in pit. She's kind of like me and has a tendency to be obsessed with things, but hers change a lot and in this case, it's pit. So now, all she ever talks about is about pit. What V did, what someone in the cast did, what someone in the pit did. It doesn't bother me that she talks about it, it's just that she's talking about it constantly, and the way she says it is like she's trying to throw it in my face because it's "so great". At one point we were talking about it and she kinda stopped so I posted Mysterious Ways from the ROse Bowl on her Facebook wall, and she was all like "Why did you chose to share this with me? I hope you know I watched like 15 seconds and stopped". and I forgot what I said but she just stopped responding.

Now she's still talking about pit, but since there's not enough tenor players, V brought in his nephew Mark, and Mark sits next to Kaitlin in pit now. So now him and pit are the two main topics of conversation for her. And last night she texted me like "Oh I'm pretty sure Mark's my new bestfriend I haven't laughed this hard in a really long time, and I have a V story for you." and that kinda made me feel like crap because earlier yesterday she fell flat on her face walking out of the band room and we were laughing our heads off. And she kept saying how it was like the best night of her life and blah blah blah, so I didn't even respond and I'm not going to, but I don't know what else to do

Hmm.... It's kinda like if I go and talk U2 and nothing else with somebody, same sort of ordeal.

Maybe when she talks to you, try to veer the conversation in a different sort of direction, so that she doesn't mention it as much, or remind her that your not in the pit. Something like that might help.

You might even have to go up to her and tell her how you feel and let her know to lighten up about it a bit.

I rarely mention U2 to my friends, and it's mostly because I know they don't care.
