You knit a pair of mittens in a nordic pattern in red and black because it reminds you of the last album.  And you stitch "U2" into the cuffs.  (I'm actually doing this.  My family thinks I'm bonkers, but it combines two of my passions into one unique pair of wool mittens. And it amuses me.  If anyone is interested, I may give them away to someone on the forum.  You all are the only ones who will appreciate them!)

Mmm...I would be able to swap you a lovely painting of Bono for those mittens. (I am a painting teacher, by the way...so it isn't an awful painting...but I've been looking at it since 2003 and have become bored with it.)

However...to keep on topic...

You know you are an obsessed U2 fan when your boyfriend no longer allows you to reply to "I love you" by saying "I love you too." He insists you say "I love you back" just so he is clear that you are not simply announcing your fondness for the band but you are, indeed, saying you return his affection. Seriously. I live under this rule.

When you check this website everyday, even through the dry, no news periods, in hopes of seeing some news about the band starting back up, and recording new songs.  Man, those are some long, bland, periods!

When somebody says something to you, and it immediately brings a U2 song to mind, and without even knowing it, you are belting out U2 lyrics.  :D

When you have dreams, while sleeping, that you actually meet one of the members of the band, and wake up realizing that it wasn't true, and get pissed that you can't return to that dream! Please......... :'(

When your friends know loads about U2 without actually liking them!

When you've "converted" one or more of those friends!

When you've memorized MacPhisto's speech, and recite it to yourself every so often!

When you know which live song you're listening to BEFORE they play a single note, because you recognize the crowd's cheers!

When you play an instrument because of that one solo in a U2 song!

When you swear you can hear Bono lick his lips in Beautiful Day!

When you know EXACTLY how many "babies" are in Ultraviolet!
