I am new to the forum and not ashamed to admit that I have limited computer knowledge. Can someone explain in simple terms how to go about putting an avatar next to your name?

Click on PROFILE up in the top row of links.

On the next page, click on Forum Profile Information in the left-side box of links.

You can add an avatar from that page - three different options.

Follow m2's directions, now You can either choose, Upload your own, or choose one of these...

To upload own, click Choose File, it will take you to the pictures on your computer, if you see a pic you want from google or something, save it to your computer, and then upload that
