Lansing is Cool-- Yooper!! Smiley Cheers!!

I am out on this tour, unfortunately -- Minneapolis is a no show for the first time EVER in U2 touring history.
Unflipplin believable. Huh Angry Sad
Unfortunately not only can I not afford the close to 1k it would cost me to actually go(tickets, food, lodging, pet lodging, gas, incidentals)
you know-- the real world that surrounds trying to travel anywhere on a budget-- but actually I don't think you could pay me to go back there
for a show. If my brother is lurking on here--do not think of buying me tickets for Chitown to make me feel better!  I love Chicago and will still go there for the Blues bars, the art museum, and of course Great America. But I have very bad memories from my last U2 show there thanks to the person I was with.THerefore........................

We Need a petition for MINNEAPOLIS!  There are 3.5 million people that live in the twin cities area and no one can tell me that it is a small market.  Besides U2 played here back when First Avenue was formerly The Depot/Sams.   MPLS has several formerly known as situations going on......

So, what's up with skipping the Twin Cities?  It's not winter when you are travelling thru  so it shouldn't be a problem now should it?   Calling Live Nation-- what is the number  333-333-3331?

I just read a MN rumor that might make you happy!!!!

Pssst: A little birdie says the Gophers' 50,000-seat TCF Bank Stadium will host the Irish band U2 in a concert on June 27. It will be interesting whether alcoholic beverages, currently banned at the stadium, will be allowed.

Just yesterday I finally panicked and caved in: joined U2.com and use the presale code to get 2 GA's for Chicago and 2 extremely nice (read ridiculously expensive) front row seats for Anaheim.

But I still live in hope for Minneapolis! Can I join U2.com under a different name and get another code for Mpls?? Because it's THEIR fault if I need to!

Interesting. The stadium has had a strict policy on no alcoholic beverages and the neighborhood the stadium is in has had definite issues regarding just the Gopher games let a lone a concert this size.  Have to remember a year ago the stadium was not there.  Wonder what the neighbors are saying about this rumor, potential date.  Would be the best place in the cities though.  Touchy though. Hopeful, but not counting on this.

I think that is legal, and I am sure the scalpers have more than 1 subscription.

If you read the FAQ's on U2.com, you risk losing all ticket purchased by all pre-sale codes and having your memberships revoked.
Find another person to buy it for you if you must. They probably go by your computer's code (whatever that is called).

Sorry!

I highly doubt they will do that many Asian dates esp 4 in China, 8 shows in Japan, and even the IND, THA and SIN.

Edit/ correction:  I stand corrected.  I checked quickly ( U2tours) and they've done Japan 2-6 shows ( 2 for Zoomerang, 2 for POP; 4 for Vertigo5 and 6 for Lovetown1).   So I guess 4 shows in JP is not so odd & you never know!? Shocked

Source please!

Please, PLEASE tell us these are truly going to happen! With the time between the E. Lansing, Minneapolis, Madison and Chicago dates it'd be possible to drive to all 4 from where I live.
Ohhhhhhh, this is so cool!

If Mr. Bitters is even close to accurate with that post, I've got to say I won't be very happy with how this was handled. I'm going to assume that many, if not most of us, have already used up our presale codes for 2009 and 2010. If U2 adds almost a month's worth of dates AHEAD of the Anaheim shows, sure, it's great to have them here. But I don't think there was really any indication there would be this many more shows, and I used my presale code accordingly. I want everybody to get an opportunity to see them, but again, if this is even close to accurate, the dates should have been put out well before ANY presales were held for 2010, pressuring us to renew subscriptions and buy tickets for venues that may not be nearly as close as some of the ones Mr. Bitters is suggesting will be added.

And don't get me wrong; thrilled to have the band return to the U.S. for more dates. If he's accurate, though, I definitely feel used in this process.

Rant over.
