Looks like I'm only able to go for the GA tix or the nosebleed tix for the Angel Stadium show. But since the ANgel Stadium isn't that big wherever you sit you're gonna be closer than at a big stadium. This time I plan on being buzzed throughout the show.

I've heard now a couple of times that Winnipeg is rumoured to be on the list. Before leaving for the show in Vancouver (Red Zone and back stage tour!), I heard twice they may come. Once was from a friend who works with True North and has some contact with promoters. I left early Wed morning for Vancouver, and did notice the U2 branded Air Canada plane was sitting at the Winnipeg airport. The optimist in me figured it was there with some of U2 management to discuss a Winnipeg concert date. The pilot of the Westjet plane I was on informed me that the plane is used for regular runs when U2 is not using it. Oh well. While in the Red Zone, we met someone who claims to be invloved with the Edmonton show. He had mentioned seeing, that day, Winnipeg penciled onto a list. Sorry, I can't verify his claim any more than that.
Thoughts?

LOL @ the people I work with who I came in this morning asking if they're getting Edmonton tickets.
I'm in Regina.
They all say to me "they're playing Regina so we're going to just wait..."
LOL
LOL
LOL
The sense of "entitlement" is rampant here since the Stones played here in 2006. People were 110% convinced U2 was playing here this year as well. They all claim to know somebody who knows a friend of a friend who knows they're playing here. And these are the same people that they got the info they were playing here this year as well. Apparently.
Yeah RIGHT. These are the same people I told like 3 months ago that U2 will play Edmonton the last week of June and they still don't believe me.
There are rumours, and then there are CREDIBLE rumours.
Why the hell would U2 bring the Claw to a stadium that barely holds 30,000?
They can have fun sitting here while I go to Edmonton to see them.
LOL. I told them not to come crying to me about tickets for Edmonton (which guaranteed they are going to) when they realize they are wrong.

I also wondered about the feasibility of holding the concert in Winnipeg with its capacity of 30,000. That is why I've already taken in Chicago2 and Vancouver. Plus I plan on doing Edmonton (was there for Popmart in 97). I fell victim to that Winnipeg rumour back in 1988, and DIDN'T do Minneapolis because of it. I'm not letting that happen again!
I see that Popmart had over 42,000 in Winnipeg. Would this be enough for the current tour?

Saw Cdn tix are slightly more this leg but US seems to be the same:
TO: Level 200 CA $32.00 - CA $252.00
Level 100 CA $32.00 - CA $252.00
Level 500 CA $32.00 - CA $97.00
General Admission Standing on Field CA $57.00
Still a steal but I wonder why more exp in Canada only not the US?

My order number for the ticket I just bought ended in 'NY/1' ..... which means there's a very good chance there will be a New York 2 added. Can't imagine them putting a number at the end unless there would be more than one show.

You know what would be really nice? For them to announce all dates for a leg of the tour, instead of having all the speculation of 'will they come to this city or that city' situation.

I agree! I think maybe they're doing this in bits & with little notice for 3 reasons - 1) firming up tentative venues; 2) wait & see how sales go for 2nd dates; and hopefully 3) to not give a big lead for scalpers (?) so maybe diehard fans can get a crack at them. Obviously there's brokers aligned with TM and there have been scalpers on the U2.com site, so they'd get the info but maybe its harder for them to coordinate quickly (??). I can only hope....

this far in advance, they should sell the tickets through their own mail order setup and bypass TicketBastard completely.

That would be too easy, and make entirely too much sense.
