That would be the way to do it.

it's the way they used to do it. Led Zeppelin in '80, the Stones in '81 and the Who in '82. In Zep's case, they did it a little less than 2 months before the shows here.

I agree totally! U2 and bands need to rethink this, their association with LN/TM and how it conflicts with getting tickets into fans' hands at face.

Will June 27 be a beautiful day for U2 at TCF Bank Stadium?
By Charley Walters, cwalters@pioneerpress.com
A contract for a June 27 outdoor concert by Irish rock band U2 at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium could be signed in a week to 10 days. TCF Bank Stadium has 50,000 seats, but adding chairs on the field could expand seating. It's unclear whether alcoholic beverages would be available for purchase. The university has the right to make alcoholic beverages available to either all stadium attendees or none. ###

I like the part about adding "chairs on the field." Good luck with that! But I like the part about MPLS on June 27 even more.

I can't actually see that, chairs on the field.  They just don't know the deal. Wink

Anything yet on East Lansing? I'm hoping to go to that and Montreal and they're both TBA, wouldn't you know?
