Can the presale dates and member renewal info be posted on the front page? I'm asking because I haven't received emails of any kind from u2.com in about two years. Contacting them has resulted in nada. (No, the emails are not in my spam folder, and changing it to another email address doesn't work, either).  I only know presales are going on right now because of members posting in this forum! I also would never have known there was an early-renewal policy for an additional presale code if it weren't for people posting here.

Technically, this info is on u2.com, but they haven't posted any of this on their first page at all, and the site is a general unintuitive mess. You have to actually click on the Accounts page to see any of the info about new presale codes, and normally I wouldn't click on my account info unless I wanted to update my info.

To answer your question - we don't post every detail that comes from U2.com because our surveys tell us that a high percentage of our readers don't subscribe to U2.com. I also don't think it's our job to do their work by promoting the membership, explaining the membership, etc. Smiley

Gotcha. The info is on the Tour and Account pages, but I had no idea to even look at them when the renewal emails were sent out a few weeks ago. The pages had been static for months before the early account renewal info got mailed out. And this go-round, U2.com, in its infinite wisdom, has not posted my presale group name on that page. I know I'm Horizon, because that's what I was last time, but if I were a newbie, I might not know. Stupid U2.com.  Angry

But I do understand it's not your responsibility to correct their problems. I'll try messaging friends here to ask them to give me a heads up when their presale/membership info changes.

Anyone wanting to know presale info, don't rely on U2.com to email you in a timely fashion... keep going to Ticketmaster and U2.com/tours.

They seem to announce on Monday for "tomorrow" (Horizon) and then public onsale is a week from that date.  I don't think they've wavered from that yet.

That is a sad, sad state of affairs isn't it?  Honestly, wtf? Today I still don't have my presale email for tomorrow's onsale.  Just brutal.  For $50 bucks a pop you'd think they could hire a whole team of people to make U2.com spectacular.  All they need to do is hire me.

Super easy solution there.

Thank God U2 fans are so on it...I get all my info from you guys.

I have a big bone to pick and I have sent e-mails to u2.com 3 , no response, Here it is . I am Horizon group went to purchase my VIP package , the box asked me for a password ? What password, never recieved an e- mail with my password. So guess what , I could not purchase my ticket , it kept throwing me out , for over a half hour I tried, I was frantic so I called the tixmusic today phone number and purchased my ticket over the phone. I guess I should have known there was going to be trouble when a few weeks prior u2.com said my presales were used already .So after renewing my membership in October and never purchasing tickets since March for the Toronto show, u2.com did absolutley nothing for me . I will not be renewing in 2010. I never had a problem prior to that purchasing my presale tickets. Even now lets say if I wanted to go and buy another ticket, I can't . I never got a password . So now I will wait 2 maybe 3 months to get my purchased vip package from ordering it over the phone. Thanks U2 see you in Montreal !
