I don't need to hear these noises coming from a 49 year old man.

All I can say is that if Bono's wish about his "cockatoo" came true, he'd look like a tripod.
LOL!!!!! The 10" Cockatoo. Indeed. *Bono looks to his left* Now THAT's a 10" Cockatoo!

Maybe he's just reached the age where circulation problems begin and a good masage helps? lol In fact, come to think of it, maybe he just had bad pins and needles at the Rose Bowl? That's enough to make anyone gasp a lot!

I have tried to find a link or video but couldn't...it was on of the moments that you had to be there!! I know that whatever pushes his buttons it was very obvious at the concert... LOL! And you would have been suddenly overcome with an urgent need to go to the bathroom so you could run away...that's the excuse I used when I was stupid enough to watch the movie "Closer" with my parents. Still don't know what happened in the last 2/3s of that film.

So. Very. Awkward. Usually, when he does something kind of strange, I can just shrug and say "eh, it's just Bono being Bono". The first time he did that during the Rose Bowl broadcast I wondered if he was in pain, having a heart attack... and then, when it kept on going, things got rather uncomfortable. I'm of two minds: on the one hand, this is still supposedly rock 'n roll, not Hannah Montana... on the other hand, when you consider that this is a 49-year-old family man who regularly pulls children up on stage, it's awkward. Maybe we just need to embrace the thought that people have many sides to them, and even old(er) married folk are still sexual beings. He can do what he likes - it's the band's show, and I'd be disappointed in them if they paid TOO much attention to what fans did or didn't like. If that's what he feels like expressing, I guess I'll just have to figure out a way to deal with it... and think twice before going to a show with my parents or young relatives in attendance!

I doubt the little kids he pulls up on stage recognize those noises!
I think I'm alone in finding this hilarious. It brings new meaning to the term "attention w****."
This is Bono we're talking about (and hearing)...he revels in acting like a weirdo in front of thousands of people.

Some of the comments on here are hilarious!
Well-- at least it wasn't like any Iggy show I ever saw, or Green Day's most recent-- that told the audience to make certain sounds, with many children in the audience. Even my daughter was embarrassed for the parents with the children in the audience that would have to explain THAT comment after the show. Guess it is not wise to bring kids to the shows unless you wish to explain the birds and the bees anytime soon.
